Region VI Chapter of the Year – CASM!
Upcoming Shows in the area:
Show Reports – MossCon
Club members Matt Bond, Ken Childress, Joe Swift, Josh Swift, Brent Bristow, Bob Hiatt, Mona Hiatt, Brian Elliot, Cliff Bullock, Rusty Nail, and Ray Smith attended MossCon in Branson, MO on June 20. Most members won awards and four of the five special show awards were won by CASM.
Members of the Year Nominations:
Club members voted during the meeting and the member of the year will be announced at Sproo-Doo in September.
River City Comic Expo will be on August 29th at the Little Rock Convention Center. CASM will have a both. Please see Brent Bristow if interested in participating.
Sproo Doo update
Ken and Bri Childres visited the convention center to survey the venue and we are booked for Friday night for vendor setup. In order to save money all awards for the show will be the same size of the silver award. This will save approx $400. Online pre-registration will open this month. If you are interested in a vendor table contact Bri or Ron. Member tables are $10.
If you are sponsoring an award please notify Bri ASAP.
Cliff Bullock reports 5 vendors total will be attending. Hill Country Hobbies may need assistance unloading and loading and also wants club members to know that if you have any special requests you can email them. Raffle items are still needed. Please see Cliff if you are interested in providing raffle items.
Demo - Rick Knapp presented a demo on using Friulmodel metal tracks and the differences in the various types of kit tracks available.

Rick Knapp presented a WIP 1/35 M41.
Sean Lincoln presented a Bandai 1/144 Gen Sniper figure and K9 Gun Carriage.
Dakota Leker presented a WIP Tom Barley steam tractor.
Ron Leker presented a WIP Meng Ki 98 and a Trumpeter 1/32 Me 262.
Anthony Sharp presented a WIP X-Wing.
Dave Mizda presented a Revell 1/25 2010 Mustang GT.
Wyn Evans presented a 1/16 RC Tiger II and a WIP Revell 1/72 Merkava.
Kenneth Fausett presented a WIP Tamiya 1/35 Jeep Willys MB and a WIP Italeri 1/35 command car.
Bob Hiatt presented his completed USS Fletcher and a HMS Zulu.
Mona Hiatt presented a Parrot Rifle and Limber.
Cliff Bullock presented a Italeri 1/72 Me. 202, a Heller 1/72 Fiesler Storch, and a Supermodels 1/72 Fiat G55.
