Upcoming Shows in the area:
-CASM DUES- 2016 club dues are due. Dues are $15 for adults and $5 for children. Please see Treasurer Brent Bristow or Secretary Matt Bond (if Brent is not available) to renew. Dues can also be paid on-line via the club page at http://www.casmodels.org/contact-us.html. Club members get a 10% discount at HobbyTown (excluding R/C products), and member dues help to facilitate club activities.
-Recharter Status – Matt Bond has completed IPMS recharter.
Treasure Report- Brent Bristow presented a treasurer's report.
-Build day – Following the meeting the club hosted a build day for anyone interested in hanging out at HobbyTown following the meeting and work on models and fellowship with other modelers. Pizza was provided and about a dozen people participated.
-Group Build I 2016 – The next group build will be due during the June meeting and the theme is “Hollywood”. Lots of options here, no excuses to not have one!
-Sproo Doo / Region 6 2016 – Show theme has been selected. The theme is “1960’s”
-2016 Battle of Champions – Options for the BoC theme were presented and voted on.
-Model Classes - Jeffery Griffin pointed out that customers have come into the store asking if classes are available. Further discussion has been tabled until the February meeting.
-IPMS/AMPS Membership- We want to encourage members to enroll in IPMS and AMPS to support the hobby.
-Demo - Brent Bristow presented a demo on using pastels to apply and enhance color on figures.
-Gift Card Drawings-
Cliff Bullock presented a HobbyBoss Panzer 35(t) diorama WIP and chain from Hobby Lobby that can be used on 1/35 scale armor.
Rick Knapp presented a WIP Dragon 1/35 Panzer III Brummbar variant.
Sam Macheak presented NIB AMK 1/48 Mig 31 and NIB GWH 1/48 F-15C kits.
David Stilwell presented a Hasegawa 1/48 A7E Corsair II.
Mike Warren presented a WIP Tamiya 1/48 Panzer 38(t).
Richard Buzbee presented a WIP Meng 1/35 Whippet.
Brent Bristow presented a WIP Dottie Storm figure, a WIP Moebius 1/73 Cylon Raider, and some Winsor Newton Series 7 brushes.
Kenneth Childres presented two commercial sculpts he is working on, a M1078 truck top and a Sd.Kfz. 7 top. He also presented a NIB Italeri 1/35 LMV.
Eric Omundson presented a NIB Lindberg 1/25 1934 Ford pickup.
Junior Guerrero presented a Bandai Space Battleship Yamato.
David Mizda presented a Revell 1/25 ‘68 Dodge Charger WIP.
Sean Lincoln presented a WIP Trumpeter 1/72 T-34/85.
Mark Brown presented a 1/25 Silver Arrow WIP and a Easy Rider chopper WIP.
Kenneth Fausett presented a WIP 1/25 2006 Camaro.
Mona Hiatt presented a WIP River Boat.
Bob Hiatt presented a WIP 1/350 USS Bailey and USS Hadley.
Ron Leker presented a NIB Hasegawa 1/72 ASF-X Shinden II.

- Rick Knapp recommended Jacksonville Military Museum.
