Welcome to the
Home of The
IPMS Central Arkansas Scale Modelers
Did you build models as a kid? Do you enjoy building miniature representations of the cars you have owned, or maybe the
airplane you work on, or secretly wish you could pilot? If so you might want to come out and pay us a visit. We are a group
of scale model builders who get together each month in Little Rock, Arkansas to share our hobby. Our interests are
varied — from cars, planes, tanks, figures, ships, real space, to science fiction — all modelers are welcome to join the fun.
We learn from and inspire each other, regardless of our individual interest.

We could list a bunch of links, but Tony Matteliano has already done it. Check out his
Scale Model Index. We do have
some other links listed, some may be on Tony's list but some of the others aren't. They'll take you to reference sites,
museums, manufacturers and distributors and other places.

In January club members will begin working to develop their skills in the finer points of judging. Dave Branson Jr. and
Pete Harwell will be showing members what to look for in finish, detailing and customizing of auto models. They will also
be explaining the various genres of car models and what their differences are. Sessions will include a chance for
members to practice judging on models provided by members.

The models displayed at the State Capitol for the annual Christmas presentation in the lobby of the Capitol Building were
a big hit. This year's Christmas theme was Transportation. Noel Lawson will be collecting the models from the folks at the
Capitol on January 8. Thanks to everyone that brought out models or die-cast for the display.

Beginning in February the club will have a quarterly contest in an attempt to get more people involved in both building and
to help sharpen our judging skills. Get to building guys.

We've added a section on the club forum where you can get information on the 2008 IPMS Region 6 Convnetion and Show.
You can ask questions, make suggestions, volunteer as a judge, provide names and contact info for vendors you'd like to
see at the show or just keep up with the convention news as the date approaches. You'll need to register on the forum
before you can post any messages, but this is totally painless. To get to the Convention forum simply click
here.
