Losing Our Sons
Daris Long talked about the movie and his continuing speaking engagements regarding the way in which the US Army and the Obama administration have sought to block his son receiving a Purple Heart for being killed by a terrorist act. The movie is available for purchase at www.losingoursons.com and the cost is $15.00. I highly recommend purchasing and seeing this movie.
Modeler of the Year
Modeler of the year nominations will be taken at the next meeting. When making a nomination, please bring a brief written narrative the describes the reasons the nominee should be considered Modeler of the Year.
Next Group Build
The next group build is due in December. After brief discussion, it was agreed by the club that the next theme should be: “Bring a Finished Model!” This idea was first proposed in a joking manner but the more we all thought about it the idea took on merit and everyone thought it would be a great idea. So, have a finished model for the December, 2012 meeting as your entry in the Group Build.
