Library Display
Dave Stilwell has reserved the display cabinet at the Fletcher Library, in Little Rock, for June 1st. Members willing to display models should come to the library on June 1st with their models and retrieve the models at the end of the month. He will send out an email to club members discussing when to meet for set-up and take down times at the Library.
Jacksonville Military Museum
The Jacksonville Military Museum has expressed an interest in obtaining models of Arkansas Aircraft, an Operation Market Garden diorama, and diorama of the Civil War battle at Reed’s bridge.
Pulaski Tech Contest
The Pulaski Tech Contest will be held on 4/21/12 at Pulaski Tech South. CASM members are encouraged to attend this contest and help out Davey and Ken.
Sproo-Do Show Flyers
Contest flyers are available for distribution. Ken will make a flyer that will be in Black and white and downloadable so that members can reproduce the flyer. Please take the flyers to all of the contests that you attend between now and the contest.
PTC Classes
PTC classes are conducted every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month and held at the AEC Campus. The next set of classes will be instructed by Ken Leslie and concern spraying car finishes.
Sponsorships
It is time to solicit sponsorships for the CASM contest. Sponsorship information may be found on the Website. Money obtained through sponsorships is the primary method of funding the CASM contest. Sponsors receive significant advertisement on the club website.
Forum Use
Members are encouraged to view and make comments on the Club Forum on the website. The more people who make comments encourage the people who post pictures of their work and write outlines of their work-in-progress. It is a good way to maintain contact with each other between club meetings.
Club Group Build Theme” Made in the ‘60s
The group build is due at the July meeting.
Airbrush Seminar
Ken Childres reported that the Airbrush Seminar went really well. There were nine participants in the seminar with three teachers. The 3:1 student-to-teacher ratio was barely enough but effective in providing individual instruction when needed. The participants of the seminar seemed to enjoy themselves.
Atlanta Figure Show
Ken presented on the Atlanta Figure Show. Ken Childres, Rusty Nail, Ron Leker, and Dakota Leker presented at the show and earned some awards. Ken had two Golds and a Silver; Rusty had one Gold; Ron earned two Silvers, one Bronze, and one Certificate of Participation; and Dakota earned a Gold and Best Junior. Way to go guys!

Bob Hiatt: $5.00; Dave Stilwell: $10.00; Ron Leker: $15.00
Demonstration
Daris Long presented some quick methods to make bases for displaying models. He highlighted the use of Vallejo Mud to quickly mudify vehicles. It was a very informative discussion.
Show-N-Tell
Rick Knapp: presented a Tamiya Mauder III project with a Verlinden interior set.
Richard Buzbee presented Dragon Firefly Vc and Nosferatu.
Nguyen Truong presented a Tamiya Tiger.
Ron Leker presented WIP hover tank which is his rendition of a 1947 Channel Jumper and a Tamiya Mk II with a Panther Cupola.
Ken Childres presented recently acquired armor books, 1960’s club group build M51 Israeli Sherman, WIP Zombie; and Dragon Brumbar.
Daris Long presented four models that he showed how to build and paint at his recent PTC class: M4A5 with wading trunk, M8HMc, M8HMC, and M5A1 all of which were placed on quick but nicely done bases.
Cliff Bullock presented a T8C 67 by Tamiya motorcycle, and Su-76 tank killer.
Art Rogers presented a modified die-cast Police cruiser with flashing lights.
Bob Hiatt presented further work on his HMS Surprise and a WIP Civil War Whitworth canon.
Dave Stilwell presented a 113 with NATO Camo and a Revell F-84G.
Chris Luna presented a WIP Viper Mk Vii from Battlestar Galactica and his completed ’70 Mustang Mach I.
Dave Branson presented the Aventador LP700 and brought with him a Ford GT made by Matech.
Lloyd King presented a 1/32nd scale Me-109, Hasegawa P-40, and a Tamiya Spitfire that won first place in an online photocontest hosted by a site from Moscow, Russia.
