AMPS: With all of the appropriate information gathered, and all questions from the membership answered, a vote will be held at the March meeting.
Airbrush seminar: There have been several inquiries at HobbyTown about another airbrush seminar. We are tentatively planning to hold another seminar following the April or May meeting depending upon the availability of instructors. We will have a few airbrushes for people to try, but participants should provide their own model and paints.
Sproo-Doo 2014: Brianna shared with us that she has visited the facilities at Camp Aldersgate, and believes it would be an appropriate venue for the 2014 Sproo-Doo. We will vote to approve this venue at the March meeting.
Officer Elections: The procedures for officer elections were reviewed.
IPMS Awards: The criteria and reporting cycle for the IPMS Club, Newsletter, and Website of the Year has changed. While the criteria have only slight changes, the reporting cycle has changed from April-March to January-December. The deadline to submit applications for these awards is March 15 for consideration for the 2013 awards. CASM activities to be included in these reports were discussed, including IPMS membership drive, the Lexington opening, and planning for the ASU-Beebe gallery show. CASM will again submit to be considered for these awards for 2013.
Ken has received the plaque for 2012 Chapter of the Year, and will bring it to the next meeting.
Parent/Child Work Day: This seminar to teach parents to work on models with their children is tentatively set for June 14, following the CASM meeting. CASM members that have children that they have built models with are encouraged participate and show others how they work together.
