Absent: David Wassell
The meeting was called to order by President Ken Childres at 10:00 a.m.
AMPS: Ken is finalizing the paper work, and the AMPS Region Coordinator plans to attend the Sproo-Doo.
Sproo-Doo: The contract for the new venue has been finalized, and the quotes for the awards have been received. Bri has taken inventory of what awards are needed and will be placing the orders soon. At this time, we are maxed out on vendors’ tables, and will be getting an additional room in the venue to ensure that we have room for all these vendors. It was agreed that this is a good problem to have!
T-Shirts: Many new members have asked about t-shirts. There must be a minimum of 35 shirts pre-ordered in order to get new shirts. Since many members still have the old design, Ken will make a new design for the new shirts.
Airbrush seminar: The airbrush seminar is set to go at 2:00 on Saturday, May 10 after the CASM meeting. Instructors will include Ken, Rick, and Brent.
Parent/Child Work Day: This event is set for June 14, following the June meeting. Ken spoke with Roger about any liability issues, and as long as the participants bring or purchase their own supplies, HobbyTown or CASM cannot be held liable in the event of injury due to inappropriate use of hobby tools.
Member of the Year: Nominations for Member of the Year will be taken during the May meeting and voted upon during the July meeting.
Officer Elections: Members should be reminded to consider nominations for the June meeting.
Regional Show: Tom suggested that we consider hosting a Regional Show in either 2015 or 2016. Bri said that she would contact Sean to find out the details.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:40 p.m.
