CASM Meeting Minutes

Announcements:
Vilonia Veterans Memorial Museum – The museum director is interested in CASM support. President Ray Smith is in the process of consulting with the museum to find out the best way that we can assist them.
Jacksonville Military Museum- David Stilwell reports that the Jacksonville Military museum is requesting pieces related to the Civil War battle of Reed's Bridge and WWII Market Garden.
Other Public Displays- If anyone has a connection with a library, school or gallery where CASM could do a short-term exhibition please let an office know.
Show Reports-
Tulsa IPMS - Matt Bond, Brent and Heather Bristow, Ray Smith, Ken and Bri Childress, Bob and Mona Hiatt, and Ron Leker attended the Tulsa IPMS show on April 18, along with other Arkansas modelers and several proxy members. Almost everyone won an award including several “Best of” awards.
Outside Show Attendance-
CASM members are encouraged to attend other model shows. It is an excellent way to spread the word about our club and it is good to support other clubs in their endeavors just as we want them to support us.
Upcoming Shows:
John's Models will be returning. He was previously scheduled to attend a closer show on the same day as Sproo-Doo.
Sponsorships are continuing to be sold. Please continue to sell more.
Demos- Rick Knapp currently does not have any demos scheduled for after the July meeting. Please feel free to volunteer to present a demonstration at a club meeting. Everyone has something to share regardless of experience level. See Rick to sign up or get ideas.
Scratching Post- Ken Childres, Scratching Post editor, is always looking for articles for our newsletter blog The Scratching Post.
Group Build-due in June
Demo: Matt Bond gave a presentation on Photo-Etched brass, including its uses and how to work with it.

Cliff Bullock presented a Dragon 1/35 Stug III Ausf F WIP and an Italeri 1/35 Panzer 38(t) diorama.
Rick Knapp presented an ICM 1/35 Observation Panther WIP.
Noel Lawson presented a Vietnam enlisted man figure and a WWI artillery man figure.
Richard Buzbee presented a Tamiya 1/48 Achilles tank destroyer, a Tamiya/Tasca 1/35 Sherman M4A3E8 and a Tamiya 1/35 Jagdpanzer IV Lang.
Matt Bond presented a Tamiya 1/48 Panzer 38(t) WIP and an ICM Sd.Kfz. 222 WIP.
Ron Leker presented a Trumpeter SAM-6 Anti-aircraft missile launcher WIP, a Battletech Scorpion 1/35 scratch built tank WIP, and some Bronco Photo Etch/LED search lights for modern 1/35 armor.
John Montgomery presented a WIP 1/35 Mad Max Diorama.
Kenneth Fausett presented an AMT 1/25 TeeVee Dune Buggy WIP.
Bob Hiatt presented a Revell Germany USS Fletcher WIP. Former Fletcher crewman Lynn Baxter attended the meeting to see Bob’s progress. Bob expects the model to be done by within the week.
Mon Hiatt was not able to attend by Bob presented WIP Parrott Rifle with Limber that she is working on.
